Om This Blog I want to Dedicate it to all my space craft designs. All of them are works in progress as I tend to realize while designing one a way I want to design another and need to be able to remember it so I start modeling the deigns to a point I know what to do no matter what.

This first design was created as a test project for a design I want to do for my brother and a story he has been writing. I decided to go with a more rustic feel to the ship. less sleek and more clumsy and space steam punch feel. Its big bulky and not pleasant to the eyes as one might think in a movie, but at the same time you might want to think more space hauler and you might get a better Image. One reason I started another Design after getting to the point I"m at now on this one. I wanted a more sleek designs after starting this one.

So here it is my space cruiser/transporter ship!

Now at this point you might be thinking well its not to bad. Why does he think its a hauler style? Well The Devil is in the Details. I started with the images presented above as my base. after an hour or two of playing around with a basic idea of a shape it came out to be this. I wanted a quad thrust-er set up with small wings and a long body to it.

It was sort of inspired by Star ship Troopers and their designs on their space crafts. They had the bulky Military look that I liked, but just wasn't sure how to approach. I did a little work and added in a few details and thats when these came about:

I don't love it But I don't hate it either. She is my Pride and joy of a spaceship design as she is my first and to be honest its not bad. I just need to finish her up add in the details to the wings and engines that she deserves. I also need to add my weapon turrets to the ship some small details like larders doors and the such. The hanger on the bottom needs work and then finally to texture her all together. that will be the fun part as I think the textures will really make her have that life a clay model just can never bring.
